Out from behind the spreadsheet
For 17 years, I wasn’t hired just to report performance. I was expected to improve it.
When operations struggled, I didn’t stay behind a spreadsheet. I partnered with operations, sales, purchasing, production and leadership to diagnose what was driving the numbers, then worked toward solutions that led to healthier financial statements.
Today I pair that Controller and CFO experience with certifications in Emotional Intelligence, High Performance and Neuro Coaching, because sustainable performance starts when business and people are aligned.
“The Numbers” are a byproduct of performance.
WHAT I BRING
Both sides of the balance sheet
Assets = business + people
Controller, CAO and CFO leadership: Manufacturing, distribution, print, healthcare finance, real estate, and venture capital
Costing and margin analysis: Job and product costing, overhead rates, sales margin vs. cost
Budgets, forecasts and cash flow: Rolling forecasts, KPI tracking, bank and covenant relationships
Systems and controls: ERP migrations (Infor SyteLine, Lawson, SAP, Epicor), SOPs, audit readiness
GAAP compliance and audits, Audit-ready books, and a trusted point of contact for outside auditors and banks
Sales and use tax: Setting up how sales tax is collected and filing returns with each state, so the business stays compliant
The business
Balanced
The people
Bridge between departments. Working alongside operations, sales, and purchasing to clear bottlenecks, set milestones, and help each department own its results
Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, MHS certified: EQ-i 2.0, EQ 360, EQ Leadership
High Performance Coaching, High Performance Institute
Neuro Coaching, Dr. Sharin Irvine, SINC Neuro Coaching
Robbins-Madanes Core 100 & Executive Coaching in progress
Building and developing finance teams: Hiring, training, cross-training, and coaching staff through growth and downsizing
Business ↔ People
WHAT I STAND FOR
Sustainable performance comes from alignment
Diagnose before you prescribe
Numbers are symptoms. I go to the floor, the sales team and purchasing to find what is actually driving them before recommending a fix.
Partnership over reporting
Finance works best as a partner to operations and leadership, not a scorekeeper. Improvement happens when everyone can read the same story.
People make the numbers
Healthy financial statements last when the people behind them are clear, capable and supported. That is where emotional intelligence and coaching come in.
TAKE RECORD
Selected results
Common problems I’ve been brought in to solve, and what changed.
MONTH END TAKES TOO LONG
Month-end close cut from 14 days, so leadership sees results while there’s still time to act

WHO I WORK WITH
Leaders who want to understand what's driving performance and what needs to happen next.
I work best in environments that value financial clarity, open dialogue, practical solutions, and a results-driven approach.
Look beyond the numbers to understand what's driving financial and operational performance.
Value open dialogue and fresh perspectives, even when it means challenging assumptions or the status quo.
Believe in shared accountability, aligning people, decisions, and execution with financial goals.
Lead with integrity, valuing transparency, collaboration, and sustainable improvement.
If your numbers aren’t telling the story you want, let’s look at what’s driving them together.
